Cable Recommendations

You will require adequate cable for your job which you can purchase from our website under Cable OR you can source yourself: 

Camera Systems   

Cable runs up to 50 Meters:                               Cat5e Cable

Cable runs up to 300 Meters:                             Cat6 Cable

                

230V Power Connection:                                     

• Connect the Video Recorder to a 4 or 6 Way Plug Bank
• Connect the Plug Bank to an existing Power Point
• Connect the Camera Power Supplies to the Plug Bank

 

Fittings Recommendations

You will require adequate fittings for your job which you can purchase from your local Hardware Store 

Screws – we recommend Square Drive Screws 

If connecting to the Internet:                       1 x Patch Lead        

Also you may / will require depending on the job:

• White Electrical Tape
• Cable Connectors
• 1 x Container of White Filler
• 20mm Conduit to run outdoor cables in, (it comes in 4 Meter Lengths)
• Assorted Bends and Joiners for the Conduit
• 20mm Capping to run indoor cables in, (it comes in 4 Meter Lengths)
• 1 x Container of assorted Cable Ties

 

Tools and Equipment

You can purchase these from your local Hardware store 

• 1 x Basic Tool set including a set of screwdrivers & a side cutter
• 1 x Headlight OR Torch OR Light
• 1 x Battery OR Mains Powered Drill
• 1 x Combination Wood and Concrete Drill Bit 
• 1 x Set of small Drill Bits
• 1 x Fold Out 5 or 6 Step Ladder to allow you access to the Manhole 

Other Equipment that Handymen doing one off type installations shouldn’t require but can be useful depending on what you are doing and if you are an Professional Installer, what you should carry:
